Lughnasadh Box
As the grain bows heavy beneath the waning summer sun and the first harvest moon begins to rise, our Lughnasadh Folklore Box invites you into the old ways — where fields whisper, herbs carry memory, and harvest offerings are given before the land turns toward autumn.
Inside the box:
Wheat Besom — Bound from the last sheaves of the harvest, the besom is a keeper of thresholds. In old folklore, wheat gathered at Lughnasadh was believed to hold the spirit of the field itself. Sweep your altar, doorway, or sacred space to clear lingering shadows and welcome the blessings of the harvest
Corn Husk Doll — A humble figure woven in the image of the Harvest Mother. Hidden among the grain stores through the dark half of the year, she was said to guard the home until the fields awakened once more. Place her upon your altar as a token of abundance, protection, and the enduring spirit of the land
Wheat Necklace — A talisman of ripened grain and hard-won bounty. Worn close to the heart, wheat has long been carried as a charm for prosperity, resilience, and the promise that what is sown in faith will one day return in kind
Rosemary, yarrow and calendula smoke bundle - Hand-bound from three herbs steeped in old folklore, this smoke bundle honours the turning of the Wheel. Rosemary offers protection and remembrance, yarrow guards against ill fortune and strengthens the spirit, while calendula carries the fading warmth of the harvest sun, inviting blessings and light into the darker season.
Ritual candles - Light these candles in honour of the first harvest and the ancient festival of Lughnasadh. Inspired by old folklore and the turning Wheel, they symbolise gratitude, abundance, and the waning power of the summer sun.
